What is a Board Room?

The boardroom is used for the top-level meetings of the company. The room can accommodate up to 48 persons (24 at the table, and 24 around the perimeter walls). This room reflects K-State Olathe’s effort to respond to industry demands for executive space as well as training and research. The room is a more formal decor, with basic audiovisual equipment.

The word “board” conjures images of high ceilings with deep wood panels rooms in which wealthy men deliberate on corporate policy and pricing in order to take over a market or create an opportunity. Today, however, the boardroom has evolved into the central point of innovation, allowing more collaboration and participation from all over the world to make critical decisions that impact the entire business.

The design of the room should be flexible, allowing it to adapt to the intended use. The room should also be outfitted with the latest technology to ensure that meetings are as productive as they can possibly be. The environment of the boardroom must be comfortable and welcoming in order to encourage engagement and facilitate ideas exchange.

A boardroom should be equipped with an adequate screen to accommodate all attendees. It should also have an LCD projector to show presentations and whiteboards to help facilitate discussions. Modern boardrooms also incorporate a videoconferencing program to connect with distant attendees and facilitate greater diversity between the board members. Infassure has modern boardrooms equipped with all the necessary equipment to ensure your next meeting is to be a success.
